The Caped Crusader joins forces with the super heroes of the DC Comics universe and blasts off to outer space to stop the evil Brainiac from destroying Earth. In addition to levels, there are several large 'hub' areas for the player to explore, which also contain collectibles and things to do.

This allows the player to access certain collectibles and areas not accessible through story mode. Each level, once completed, becomes playable in 'Free Play' mode which allows the player to replay the level using any character they have unlocked at that point. The game is also playable in 2 player co-op mode.Įvery level in the game is based on a location from the DC Comics' Universe. The gameplay for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham is very similar to its predecessors, being third-person action-adventure gameplay featuring over 150 unique characters and having the player solve puzzles, collect studs, fight enemies and more.
